there doesnt appear to be a road and parking lot that goes directly up to the cape disappointment lighthouse, and I really appreciated that. I hiked to it from a very dense but well-maintained forest trail about 2 miles in. It was a perfect time of day, cool and windy, with bigtime rain on its way in. there were no other visitors. i just checked out the spot and shot some pictures.
