the coastline trail along cape blanco is extremely maintained, yet somehow that didn't seem bad to me. I usually love hiking trails whose only maintenance is the continued traffic of animals and hikers to keep the vegetation down, and it usually annoys me when over-maintenance makes everything "too easy." If i wanted to walk down a sawdust path with cemented in benches, id go to the city park.
the cape blanco coastline trail though was somehow maintained very modestly and practically, at times as if a doorway-sized hole was just bored out through densely walled growth.
