from my vantage point, there was no clear path to get from the sea-worn bluffs to the very low traffic beaches about 100 vertical yards below. it looked like i could reach the beach by following one of the dozens of flowing streambeds like this one. with the weather cold, wind high, and rain picking up i trodded down through it. though i immediately regretted my impact upon the landscape, it was too late to turn back.
