one of the first shots i ever shot on a new Diana F+ camera i bought. as you can see, catastrophic failure. my holga had gone misplaced for many months now, and i pictured doing a good deal of shooting on this oregon coast trip on holga. I had many ideas of how to use it, with IR and longer exposures. So I set out to buy a replacement before my trip, and the store was out of stock. I decided to try out the diana. i found it light leaks like a motherfucker in not even harsh light, loading is a frustrating and delicate process, and if you have loaded the film slightly wrong, you will not notice it until the end of the roll when winding gets incredibly difficult, and you remove a roll with all its edges exposed to the day.
It has it's positives, however. it FEELS like you have more control over the settings, and FEELS like the focus is fairly accurate to what the scale indicates versus the holga. Also the pinhole mode is really great! but man... the holga wins, by a lot.
